Make and share this Coleslaw recipe from Food.com.
- 1 head green cabbage, shredded
- 1 head purple cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup salad oil
- 1⁄2 cup vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- Combine all ingredients in a blender EXCEPT vinegar and blend on high until mixed, then add vinegar slowly to mixture and add celery seed.
- Until blended.
- Mix with cabbage.
I really enjoyed this! I halved the recipe. The grated onion added alot of flavor. I used extra-virgin olive oil and cider vinegar. Thanks for posting!
I enjoyed this recipe. I used broccoli slaw (supplemented with red cabbage), cider vinegar and less sugar. Halved the recipe and it came out fine. Thanks for sharing.
My DH and I loved this with some fried fish! I really liked the addition of the mustard and celery seed. Delicious!
