Cole Slaw Dressing

"This is one of the easiest dressings to make! It doesn't get any easier than this! If you are making your cole slaw with wheels on, (traveling, picnic, BBQ, etc.), you can make the dressing at home, then dress the slaw when you get there. As for the mustard, please feel free to use your favorite one here, whether it be yellow (hot dog), Dijon or the spicy brown type."

  1. Delicious. I used ground celery seed because that's what I had. I also used broccoli slaw instead of regular cabbage. I'll be using this recipe a lot over the summer. Thanks!

  2. Easiest tasty Cole slaw dressing and a big hit at our house. I have made it several times and the Cole slaw was a hit each time. I do not always have celery or celery seed on hand so substituted dill for it, which gave it a brighter flavor perfect for cooling off after a hot day.

  3. Sorry. I thought the taste was really gross. I'd blame the sour cream because I really don't like it on its own, but I also think the cider vinegar played into the problem. It was a really bad mix for me.

  4. Made this dressing for broccoli slaw..worked like a charm and very easy.

  5. The second time I made this I reduced the spicy brown mustard by about a third and added another teaspoon of splenda to the 2 teaspoons of sugar. That made it a true 5 stars.

I would like to welcome you to my recipes. I have been with Food.com since 10/05. My beloved husband, Tom, passed away 3 years ago. My world stopped. It's taken me all this time to find my way back to life without him. I have been so blessed to have found my second, once in a lifetime. I've met an amazing man who is so good to me. We moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to Bullhead City, Az. in February, and we love it here. I have worked at Bally's and Paris hotel.casinos, in Las Vegas. I have seen some very famous entertainers, including Liza Minnelli, Penn and Teller, Ray Liotta, Dr. J (Julius Erving), Frank Sinatra and his wife Barbara Marx. and many, many more. Cooking is my passion, and I am slowly, but surely beginning to venture into the world of baking. To me, cooking is so much easier because baking is so much more exact. I love to make Italian and Mexican food the best, followed by Chinese and last, but by far the least, good old American food! How can you beat chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy?? I love to find several recipes and put my own spin on them and create a new recipe.
