Coffee Liqueur

"this is a recipe from Nestle.An impressive homemade liqueur. Serve as a liqueur with coffee, or spoon over ice cream. Makes a good hostess gift."

• Ingredients: 6
• Yields: 1 quart

ingredients

• 2 cups corn syrup
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1⁄2 cup boiling water
• 1⁄2 cup tasters freeze dried instant coffee
• 2 1⁄2 cups vodka
• 1⁄4 cup vanilla

directions

1. Combine corn syrup and sugar in a saucepot.
2. Heat over medium heat stirring until sugar is dissolved.
3. Combine the boiling water with the dried coffee granules.
4. Stir into sugar mixture.
5. Let cool completely.
6. Then stir in the vodka and the vanilla.
7. Pour into a covered container.
8. Keeps indefinitely.

Great tasting easy to make recipe. I strained it before pouring into a bottle since I had a bit of foam from the instant coffee. Made for Comfort Cafe Jan 2009
