I used espresso coffee for this and found that it worked very well with the rest of the ingredients. It was creamy and thick and full of flavour. I especially loved the addition of lemon and orange! It definetely warmed me up and it definetely warmed my parents, since it was cooler in the morning than it is right now.
I'm definitely NOT a coffee drinker, but decided to make this anyway, sharing it with my other half who definitely IS! Used a mild brew (the right term?) of coffee & then followed the recipe! Gotta admit that I enjoyed it, too ~ The cinnamon/nutmeg/clove & brown sugar are what did it for me! Both of us here appreciate you posting the recipe! This coffee was delicious Annacia. My dh & I enjoyed it very much. It was thick, rich, smooth with a hint of citrus and spice. I especially love the flavour from the brown sugar. Thanks so much for sharing yet another wonderful coffee recipe.
I made this with Splenda Brown sugar but it still was rich and filling. This is a whole experience. Imagine being in a big cozy sweater in front of a fire while it snows outside. That's the kind of feeling you get from this and the perfect way to enjoy the tastes. This is going to be my winter relaxing drink from now on.
Last night when the furnace had been off for awhile and it started getting nippy, I thought "Now's the perfect time to try Annacia's coffee grog." It was perfect--I wish I had a fireside to sip it by, but even just enjoying it in my study it quite hit the spot! This one definitely constitutes dessert!
