This recipe was inspired by a local cupcake store that blends any of their gourmet cupcake flavors with ice cream. I thought that sounded interesting, so I made this version for ZWT 9 Coffee Plantation Challenge. I used all vanilla ice cream, but using half coffee ice cream and half vanilla would work also.
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a shallow dish.
- Wet the rim of the glass with a little coffee or milk and coat it in cinnamon sugar before pouring the milkshake inches.
Sorry, Jean, I made these when you first posted the recipe, but I forgot to go back and post my review! Well, here it is now, lol. This was delicious! I didn't have any vanilla ice cream, so I just used coffee ice cream instead. I also couldn't find any glazed donuts at the grocery store I was shopping in, but they did have some glazed yeast donut holes, so I used those instead (with the ratio of 4 donut holes = 1 donut). Loved it! What a creative idea - pastry in a milkshake! I made these for dessert, for my MIL's birthday dinner and everyone scarfed them down! Great recipe, Chef Jean! Thanks for sharing!
