Best eaten warm with garlic aioli. Made it for tapas party, it was a big hit.
These are wonderful, I'm Portuguese, so I make these often in my home, everyone loves them, I just leave out the nutmeg, as I'm not too crazy over it. Thank-you Connie for posting.

While I'm a fish lover, I've never had cod cakes before. They were quite tasty, at room temperature, with Connie's Aioli but I preferred the leftovers warmed up in the microwave. Thanx for posting the recipe Connie & thanx for bringing them to my tapas party!
These were an absolute 5 for me. A distant memory of cod cakes my mother made which I did not care for at all and then the realization that this was a mouthful of 'sinfully delicious' and it is not even dessert time! I had a love affair with these well into the evening at the Tapas party. Picky about fish husband loved these too. If you are going to make these, Connie's 'Garlic Rosemary Aioli' compliments these perfectly and perfectly delicious, than you.

I really enjoyed these tapas, I like salt cod and the flavours brought back memories of my childhood, my Grannie used to make little 'fish cakes' and panfry them. I don't think she added the nutmeg or lemon juice; I will use this recipe in future, these were delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe Connie.
