- 236.59 ml evaporated milk
- 236.59 ml sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 118.29 ml butter
- 4.92 ml vanilla
- 314.66 ml coconut
- 236.59 ml chopped pecans
- In a pan combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla. Cook over medium heat, stir constantly, till thickened (12 minutes).
- Add the coconut and pecans. beat by hand till icing is cool and thick enough to spread.
This is an easy recipe to use. It didn't take more than 10 minutes to thicken. It was very tasty.
Excellent flavor and so easy to make. I didn't have any pecans on hand so I used walnuts. Thanks Shirl, this is a keeper.
I did this recipe and put it with with a butter pecan cake. IT was delicious! At the end broil the icing and it is even better!
