Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife.
  3. Combine flour and the next 6 ingredients (flour through baking soda).
  4. Combine butter, water, and honey, stirring well to combine.
  5. Add butter mixture to flour mixture, stirring until well-blended.
  6. Drop by level tablespoons 2” apart onto baking sheets coated with Pam.
  7. Bake at 325 for 10 minutes or until almost set.
  8. Cool on pan 2-3 minutes or until firm.
  9. Remove cookies from pan, and cool on wire racks.
  10. Makes 2-1/2 dozen.

Delicious! but a bit too sweet for me. I would try again and cut the sugar - 3/4 maybe even 1/2 cup? My husband thought they were great.

These cookies were wonderful. Everyone wanted the recipe. I used parchment paper instead of Pam, but made no changes to the recipe. It's perfect as posted. Thanks for such a good cookie Audrey.
