This recipe is so easy, the cake is light and spongy. I used self-raising flour and omit the baking soda. It all turns out well. :)
I followed the recipe exactly and these are really nice. These cakes were light and airy, and a great taste. When we were children my mum used to bake chocolate buns as we called them, and we always ate them hot from the oven - yummy! I topped them with icing sugar mixed with lemon juice. This brought back many happy memories.
These are wonderful, fudgey cupcakes! I made these for my grandson's 4th birthday party. I frosted with a buttercream frosting and sprinkles. They were gobbled up! Thanks!
