Use horseradish from a freshly opened bottle and mild chili powder for the best flavor.
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 teaspoon dried ancho chile powder or 1 teaspoon other mild chili powder
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon juice, from 1 small lemon
- Stir all ingredients together in small bowl, adjust seasonings as necessary.
