A great lasanga recipe that DH and DS wondered if the meat was venison. It had to be the beer as it's a first for me using beer in my lasagna recipes. A few omissions per families request. Mushrooms, onions and the shrimp. I made this a day ahead so the next day all I had to do was pop it in the oven for 1 1/2 hours of baking with the last 1/2 hour uncovered. I'm another one who was happy enough to make this without the mushrooms, & I did it with the ground beef! Shared it with a neighbor couple & all thought it a wonderfully flavorful lasagna! Will make this one again, for sure! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed in I Recommend recipe tag]
This was a very tasty lasagna recipe, that the whole family enjoyed- even the younger members of the family who find my favourite lasagna recipe too rich for them ( but then it is a special occasion one!).
I felt that it could do with a bit more garlic and herb flavour, but that's just my taste..and not for everybody.
Overall, it was very much enjoyed, and the leftovers were even better!!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS !! I did leave out the mushrooms, and used lean ground beef. This had to be a first using beer in lasagna. Thanks for the posting of this. A keeper here. Made for PRMR tag.
When I tagged this recipe I didn't read the amts of ingredients close enough. I don't really care much for italian seasoning and this has a lot of it. I honestly shouldn't have tagged it knowing my preferences. This is just a personal taste issue. Made for PRMR.
This lasagna is so good. The sauce has a really good taste. I used low-fat ricotta. I used 1 small onion. I only used lean ground beef. I used part-skim mozzarella and I added more at the end. I used whole-wheat lasagna noodles and couldn't even detect the taste of whole-wheat which usually I notice. Thanks Chocolatl :) Made for PRMR tag game
