Classic Sangria

- 750 ml bottle dry red wine
- 118.29 ml fresh orange juice (from about 1 1/2 oranges)
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 large navel orange, sliced
- 118.29 ml sugar
- 118.29 ml water
- 118.29 ml brandy
- 118.29 ml Cointreau liqueur or 118.29 ml triple sec
- ice cube
directions
- In a heatproof pitcher, place wine, juice and fruit slices. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, brandy and Cointreau and bring to a simmer, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Add to wine mixture. Refrigerate, covered, for at least one hour.
- Pour sangria into 8 white wine glasses or old-fashioned glassed filled with ice.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
