This makes a great topping for muffins or scones.
- 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine, softened
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon peel
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange peel
- Soften (do not melt) butter by briefly microwaving or allowing to come to room temperature.
- Combine al of the ingredients in a bowl.
- Mix until creamy. Store in refrigerator or serve.
