A local Mexican restaurant used to serve these. They were served hot with a dollop of whipped cream and drizzled with honey. I always looked forward to having them. It never occurred to me to make them myself. I used whole wheat tortillas, and the cooking time was about 5 minutes longer. Thanks
These were delicious! I burned them just a little but no one seemed to even mind or notice! Thanks!
I made these for breakfast for my kids (I was out of bread). They loved it. I didn't melt my butter (I just realized this when coming back to the recipe). I used softened butter. It worked just fine. The kids loved them! I think these would be great for breakfast, dessert, or snack. Very easy!
I made these for my nephews and niece. I made a couple batches crunchy and some soft. Served them with fresh peaches. They absolutely loved them. Incredibly easy to make and it took no time at all. Thank you.
I have made this bunelos before except I fried them. I will try to bake for a healthier way. They are very good!
Thanks for the great recipe. I did use canola cooking spray on both sides of my cut tortillas. I then dredged them in a bowl of cinnamon sugar. They baked up crispy & delicious, 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. I used to do this all the time by frying so I was happy to find your baked version.
I snazzied this up a bit by chopping strawberries and melting chocolate and putting both on top! So good.
These were great! I started with butter & then went to buttered flavored Pam b/c my husband was trying to help clean up the kitchen, but didn't realize I wasn't done with the bowl of melted butter. They were great & took out the extra of bad for me goodness of the butter & I didn't notice a bit! I served these with fruit salsa & they were a hit!
Love these! They are better than Taco Bell's cinnamon twists. What a great snack for my whole family! Thanks
I made these the other day for the dayhome kids...they cleaned them up. So I had to make another one for me and I agree they are good, so simple and so fast just how I like things. Thanks
