Needed to use up a whole tub of plums, and this recipe was perfect for it. At first my topping mixture didn't want to crumble, presumably because I use wholemeal flour, which is not as fine as plain flour. So I just added more dry ingredients until I had the right texture. Ended up with around 150g of oats, and 120g of wholemeal flour. Turned out great. Hubby ate it and he doesn't even usually like dessert!

My topping didn't crumble, but that was my fault for "melting" the margarine. Had to convert to measurements I could understand in the kitchen but all in all tasted great. Family devoured it.

Yummy! My daughter really loved this recipe, she was saying "delicious desert mum". I'm not a sweet tooth, so I don't make deserts but Little Miss (DD) loves anything with sugar and she thought this was a BIG treat. The only change I would make if I make this again is double the plum part, I found the plum shrunk heaps and there was more crumble mixture then plum mixture. However the flavour and texture was yummy. Thanks for posting your recipe Lauralie41
