directions

 • Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir over a low heat, whisking often for 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture is hot.
 • Using a sieve (conical recommended), strain the mixture into a heatproof jug.
 • Serve into 4 heatproof serving glasses or cups and serve.
 • TIPS - (1) Got a coffee machine, to add a little froth to your mocha, transfer 1/3 of the mixture into a small jug and using the milk attachment, froth and fill the top 1/3 of each glass with the froth. (2) For extra kick whisk 15ml of Baileys or a chocolate liqueur at the end of step 1.

 1. I just had (scaled down only for one person) this delicious warming mocha.
I really enjoyed it as it is easy, tasty, spiced, filling and now comforing as the summer is over.
Thanks a lot for posting the recipe.

 2. Quick, easy and delicious - the kiddies ask for a bit more sugar which was easily fixed. I used regular instant coffee since I did not have expresso

 3. Adding to the rave reviews here! It really hit the spot on a chilly Saturday afternoon. I cheated though and made it with my Tassimo, one Cadbury hot chocolate pod and one espresso pod and the steamed milk for the hot chocolate. Loved the cinnamon in it.

 4. Made for daughter who was aching all over - she loved it !!

 5. I never need an excuse to make a coffee drink but to have extra servings I'll have to come up with one so I can have this drink again and again. I did not have espresso powder so I made a strong espresso and then blended that with the flavorings. The kick of cinnamon in this is wonderful. I did cut back on the sugar but that is a personal preference of not liking really sweet coffee. Worked out great and simple to make as a treat! Thanks Pat for sharing!

 1. Love it. I used Greek instant coffee instead of instant espresso.(http://www.greekshops.com/Coffee_and_Tea/Food_and_Cookware/Coffee__Nescafe_for_Frappe__Net_Wt_200_gr.html?pdi=NES200GR&ug=24) Thanks again! Made for the Aussie/NZ forum's Edition 6: MAKE MY RECIPE.

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person. For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement sorry cannot replicate here as considered invalid but they basically said yes the community was valuable hence .com was short for community but it was a pack of lies as they were not willing to put the money into that community and got rid of the forums which was the community so for .com has become .crap.
