I made this recipe this morning and I've got to say that it's absolutely heavenly. I, to my own surprise, enjoyed it so much that I didn't even bother with the cinnamon! I used the Old Italian Bread from Franz Bakery and even drizzled a few pieces with brown butter before serving. Delish!
We've been going through french toast recipes on this site, and this one earned a permanent spot in our breakfast rotation. We forgot the cinnamon, and they still turned out wonderful.
