Holy cow are these ever good! I love how the cinnamon and coffee flavour comes through clearly - they're a nice change from typical chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies. I got 45 cookies out of the recipe, and they baked in 11 minutes in my oven. I'll make these again, that's for sure! Thanks for posting, Hokies! Made for Zaar Stars Tag.
I made these the other day as part of my early Christmas baking. I got 69 cookies out of the batch based on the size I made them. My oven required baking for around 8 minutes to get them set. I tried it both with the powdered sugar and without. The ones with the powdered sugar ended up with more of a "crackle" look for me and were not too much sweeter than without it. They were good, but neither my husband nor I thought that the cinnamon taste was very strong. My husband, who is not a coffee lover, did not think that the coffee taste was very prominent either. I did not need to press down near the end of bake time; they baked out pretty close to the picture. Thank you for posting!
These are wonderful! Cinnamon and coffee, how could I go wrong? I did roll mine in the sugar before baking (for DH) and I much prefer the look of Coffee B's cookies without the sugar. Also the recipe doesn't say to squish the dough balls so I didn't and I have incredibly yummy cookie lumps, LOL. These puppies didn't spread at all like I was expecting from the soft dough. It doesn't hurt the taste any at all though. I used 3/4 tsp cinnamon and next time I'll use 1 tsp. :D
Loved them! These cookies are so good that they are probably one of my favorite cookies. I didn't roll them in powdered sugar just because I didn't want them to be too sweet. Thank you so much for sharing! Made for I Recommend Tag.
Delicious! Coffee and cinnamon-YUM! Thanks for posting!
oh gosh this is a coffee-lover's dream, I made these using all butter as I did not have any more shortening and I increased the cinnamon to 1-1/2 teaspoons, I love these cookies and I look forward to making them again soon, thanks Hokie!
What a great combination of flavors/ingredients these have Melly. Coffee and cinnamon,...well, you can't get much better than that. I cut the recipe in 1/2 and it still made 18 little cookies. I opted not to roll mine in powdered sugar. Personal preference. Also, upon mixing this together I really wondered if it was going to come together as the dough is very crumbly. But, after taking some into the palm of my hand and forming balls, they came together nicely. I baked them as balls for 10 minutes and then the last 1-2 minutes pressed down with a fork. Perfect little crackly cookies. Great for holiday trays with just the right ingredients. Tagged for NewKids on the Block~
