Yummy twist on the traditional brownies.

  1. Combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup margarine.
  2. Add boiling water, stirring until thickened.
  3. Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and rest of butter. Add flour, cinnamon and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Cool.
  5. Frosting:.
  6. Cream butter. Combine cocoa, sugar, and cinnamon. Add to butter with milk. Beat well. Add vanilla; mix well. Spread over brownies.

My DH informed me this was one recipe that did not last long.
The flavor was so delicious.

They have already requested me to make this recipe again for them.

I asked my step-daughter how many satrs to give this recipe. I think she said five, but her mouth was so full of brownie I"m not sure! These were terrific and will definitely be made again and again and again around here.
