NOTHING is better than a hot cinnamon sweet potato! So easy to fix and goes well with any menu plan. This is a family favorite and particularly in the winter when the sweet potatoes are plentiful! This recipe can be doubled easily for more servings.
- Wash sweet potatoes. Place a sheet of tinfoil into a 9 x 9 baking pan. Leave peel on potatoes and place in pan.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours depending on size or util potatoes stick tender with a knife.
- Remove from oven and slit each potato in half. (Peeling can be left on or removed.) Pour melted butter on each half. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
Ahhhhh, this really hit the spot. The brown sugar/cinnamon is a perfect compliment to the sweet potatoes. Great recipe Seasoned Cook. We absolutely loved this!
When we tried this recipe the sauce was very good but the potatoes were not soft enough. It might work better if you wrap the yams in foil and cook them at a higher temp.
