An unusual Dip that has people scraping the bottom of the bowl. Serve with tortilla chips and adjust the heat to your taste. GREAT WITH MARGARITA'S.
- 2 (6 ounce) cans albacore tuna in water, drained
- 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
- 1⁄4 cup sour cream
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1⁄4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- Combine all ingredients. Chill for at least an hour.
- If I don't have any jalapeno's on hand I use canned smoked jalapeno's, less heat.
I was making Margaritas and saw your suggestion for serving this dip with margaritas so I figured how could I go wrong! You are right, it is good with margaritas! I like that I had all the ingredients I needed already in my fridge or pantry. Perfect for unexpected company.
This is very tasty! I made this as a sandwich spread. The only thing I did was add a chopped hard cooked egg and I had a lovely sandwich to take to work. Thanks for the recipe.
This is so delicious!! I had a little taste, put it in the fridge to chill, and promptly came here to review it! There's a restaurant called Margaritaville in Newport Beach, CA and they have an awesome tuna dip. I've been looking for something similiar since we moved away and this is definitely it! Finally! It's easy and has all the flavors that I love. I can hardly wait until I can make some margaritas this summer and have this out on our deck. Thank you so very much for sharing this recipe!
