Courtesy of the Cafe Tu Tu Tango in Orlando, Fla, by way of Rachael Ray. This is great on fish, in a sandwich, on everything!
- 1 cup stone ground mustard
- 1⁄3 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Simply place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix together completely. Chill for 1 to 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!
Yum ***** five times*****! So far, I've tried this on tacos, tostadas, eggs and a tuna sandwich...Organic cilantro, organic brown mustard, key lime. Made for May-Cilantro highlight in the Spanish/Portuguese forum.
Cilantro Mustard I agree; it is great on everything! At least, everything I have tried. My favorite was on cold roast beef sandwiches but the BLTs were pretty tasty, too. Thanks for posting the recipe for this new to me twist on mustard!
Sharon, I have to tell you that we loved this! You can taste every ingredient. It is definately and eye opener, and ohhhh so good! We used it with corned beef, and this morning I made dh's wrap using it also with turkey. I actually used a bit more cilantro (4 Tbsps.) because I was using the last of the bunch and I can't waste anything. It still didn't overpower anything...you could still taste the mustard and cumin. Fantastic!
