I've been making these since Southern Living printed this in 1982! Great for making mulled wine also!

I made one to try before making a bunch for Christmas baskets. Everyone in my house gave it 4 stars, so needless to say it's a keeper and I'll be making them for baskets. We tried it with the cider, next we want to try it with juice to see what the taste difference is. Thanks for a great recipe MommyMakes! :o)

Made these as Christmas gifts, rearranging spices into a reindeer shape. Only problem was DH snacked on one late at night (thought it was a cookie) and commented it was a little strange! Much better when used to make cider!

I just got through making a batch of these for gifts. Of course, I had to try one. Yum! I think these are going to become a tradition in our house, too.

I made these for Christmas and they were a huge hit. I used the spices to make a reindeer (nutmeg for the head, allspice for the ears, and cloves for the antlers) which seemed a little more festive. I will try to post a picture if I still have one around. THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!!

This makes the best tasting cider. I have been making this for along time. Your recipe has a added spice that mine doesn't and I thought the nutmeg added a nice touch. A tip that came with my recipe was to add a compact ball of Reyonlds Wrap the size of the orange cavity and place it inside of the orange half and it will help to keep its shape while baking. Thanks Mommy Makes for added a new twist to one of my old favorites. Bullwinkle.

I love hot cider and these are the cutest things ever! I plan to make some this Christmas. I just wanted to post some information... Supermarkets that have a Mexican isle generally stock whole spices there that are only .99/bag.
