- 226.79 g cream cheese, softened
- 118.29 ml chopped green onion
- 118.29 ml golden raisin
- 118.29 ml chopped dry roasted peanuts
- 9.85 ml curry powder
- 4.92 ml ginger
- 118.29 ml prepared chutney, any flavor
- Combine all ingredients except chutney.
- Spoon mixture into a serving bowl and top with chutney.
- Serve with crackers.
Boy, this is a taste treat! I got the cream cheese really soft, and added the other ingredients. The green onion was especially good in this appetizer. I used hot mango chutney which complimented the other ingredients. The crowd loved this one, and I did too. Thanks, Carol, for an easy, super tasty appetizer.
I make a simpler version of this which is 12 oz. cream cheese, 3/4 C. chutney, 1/4 t. curry powder. What makes it special is the presentation,especially at the holidays. Select a pineapple with nice greenery at the top. Lay a pineapple on its side and make a shallow slice off one side. Remove the pineapple in chunks to creat a bowl. Spoon in the cheese mixture. Cover in overlapping almonds to make it look like a pine cone and tie a red ribbon around the top of the pineapple. This really looks great at a holiday party. Serve with pineapple chunks and ginger snaps.
Have been making this for years and totally agree that it is wonderful. Even people who claim they do not like curry dig in and lick their lips. Use it at all our open houses. Good to see it in print.
