This recipe is from my local T.V. station. It makes a very filling meal.

  1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion, then drain.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients except rice and cheese, bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in rice.
  4. Reduce heat to low and cover and simmer 5-7 minutes or until liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Fluff mixture with fork, sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Cover and let stand 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
