Chris' Burgers

READY IN: 25mins
Recipe by Taylors Mommy

My husband is famous for these and is always asked to make them. My youngest daughter, who can barely hold the burger in her little hands, finishes one all by herself cause they are so good! Originally posted on and named "Chris' Bay Area Burgers"...good thing my husband's name is Chris as well:)

I made this recipe on 3/25/12 for Spring PAC 2012 and for mine and my So's dinner. Since my SO and I both enjoy a larger burger, I made two six ounce patties.Except for cooking them in a cast iron skillet the recipe was made as it was written.Since the burgers had garlic and basil,I thought provolone cheese would be a very good addition and it was. Thanks for a change from our usual burgers.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Mix together the ground beef, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and basil. Divide into four balls, and flatten into patties. Make a thumb imprint in the middle of each patty so they cook level.
  2. Cook the patties for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. The internal temperature should be at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Remove from grill and place onto hamburger buns. Top with desired toppings and condiments.
