This is a great topping for frosting a cake or putting a dollop on each slice. Good for angel food cake too. This is one that sits in the refrigerator before you whip it.
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and blend with a fork.
- Set in the refrigerator for two hours.
- Whip and frost the cake.
I made this frosting to top a dark chocolate cake recipe I found online. Best whipped frosting EVER! We ate the cake over a series of days by storing it in the refrigerator, and every time the frosting was delicious!!
Delicious and easy. I was going to frost my chocolate bundt cake with it but at the last minute decided it would be better to add a dollop to each serving as I am afraid it may get runny after a couple days. It is quick, easy and tasty. I was concerned about not sifting the cocoa first and the lumps that appeared in the bowl while resting in the fridge. They mixed right in with no problem. Now the challenge is going to be to remember to eat the cake and quit taking spoonfuls of this to eat alone.
