I made this recipe in silicone cups in a muffin tin. Since I did not need to dust the cups, I incorporated the cocoa powder into the batter. I made them a day ahead and put them in a warm oven to warm them back up the next day. A single recipe makes 12 cupcakes. They came out fantastic, with melted chocolate in the center, and a glossy, perfectly rounded top crust that looked beautiful, and did not fall at all. I made this recipe for dessert for my son's 11th birthday party. With the exception of one child who did not like the gooey center, there is not a crumb left anywhere in the house. These decadent little cakes were easy to make and make a wonderful presentation when you are trying to impress guests! I pull them apart as soon as they come out of the oven and top them with a scoop of ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry.
