I absolutely love making this cake! instead of using 2 cups of pecans I only use one. on the inside of the cake I put about 3/4 a cup of the chocolate chips and 3/4 a cup of the pecans and then I top the cake with the rest of the pecans and chocolate chips and a drizzle of the Carmel
Where is the recipe for the frosting?
LOVE the l ingredients of this cake and want to make it. I noticed the recipe calls for 2 cups of pecans but I only saw where you add one cup of the pecans. Please advise.<br/>Sherry in Knoxvillle TN
LOVE this. I made this for my hubby's 31st birthday since he loves any kind of turtle dessert. I used Betty Crocker's Gluten Free Devil Food Cake, which is half the size of regular cake mix, so I halved the recipe.
I love this Turtle Cake recipe. I've tried many and this one has it all; moist, decadent, delicious, chocolately goodness. It's great for a crowd because a little bit goes a long way. Love it! Thanks for sharing!!
I made this for coolmonday's bake a thon. This cake was amazing and so easy to make!! It is so moist and tasty! My whole family loved it. The only thing I did differently was to use a devils food cake mix instead of the German chocolate. Thank you for posting this recipe!
Due to dietary restrictions I was unable to taste this cake. I made it for my bosses wife's Birthday. I got call after call from their family members telling me how incredible this cake was. I used a super moist chocolate cake mix and 18 oz of carmels. Thanks for making me look so good!!!!!!
I can't believe you had this posted! I made this about 20 years ago, lost the recipe and I've been looking for the recipe ever since. I made this for work and everyone - absolutely everyone loved it. It's chocolatey and the caramels are so tasty-YUM! I just wish it didn't take so long to unwrap all those blasted caramels! ;)
