    Chef #603588's Note:

This is for homemade waffles or pancakes. I love chocolate but its not for everyone so instead of chocolate chip pancakes I make this syrup for myself. Its super rich but its delicious.

Great recipe. Note: cornstarch does not do well when added to hot liquid. I combined the dry ingredients, stirred in 1 c. cold water, and brought the mixture to a boil, and let boil for 1 minute before removing from heat and stirring in vanilla and butter.
