I just made these today for pick a recipe...I am SOOOO glad I did. These were super easy to make and really great! I substituted pecans as that is all we had, and added a few peanut butter chips I had to use up. The result...a really bomb cookie. Thanks so much for the recipe. I plan to make these every christmas!

Perfection for taste and ease of making! Kim we are really enjoying these. My parents visited today and sampled a couple and my Mom stated how it would be easy to use a Low Sugar Cake Mix too to help my Dad with his sugar counts since he is diabetic. Everything worked perfectly. I substituted chopped almonds for the walnuts but that was it! Perfect chewy centers with a nice outer edge. Tagged in Potluck Tag. Thanks for sharing!

What a great tasting & easy-to-make batch of cookies [or my special cakelettes, as I actually called when I brought them out]! I did make 2 little changes, but only because I really wanted a choclate hit [you KNOW what chocoholics are like!] ~ I added a few more white chips & a 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels! Really wonderful, & now I'm back to earth again [well, maybe floating just a few feet off the ground]! Thanks much for this great recipe!

These were delicious cookies. They go together very quickly and easily and are soft and chocolatey. The only change I made was to use macadamia nuts instead of the walnuts. My family loved these and I will definitely be making them again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. Congratulations Kim on winning the football pool.
