- 1 cup sugar
- 3⁄4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons Amaretto (almond flavored liqueur)
- In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa, water, and amaretto until smooth.
- Pour mixture into an ice cream freezer container, and follow the manufacturer's instructions to freeze.
This did not turn out at all. I followed the recipe, except using almond extract (1/2 tsp) for the Amaretto. I put it in the ice cream maker and let it go for at least 1/2 hour, probably more and it wasn't frozen at all. Looked the same as when it went in. I'm pouring it into a container to freeze it in the freezer, but I don't think this recipe works.
