Homemade chocolate pudding. Based on a mix recipe. The dried ingredients can be prepared ahead of time.
- 2⁄3 cup sugar
- 1⁄3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1⁄4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 2⁄3 cups skim milk
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Boil gently, stirring constantly, for one minute.
- Pour into serving dishes and chill until thickened.
great pudding and exactly enough to fill ready made crust for a yummy chocolate cream pie :)
So simple and delicious. I made it with soymilk, since my oldest is allergic to dairy, and it turned out great! I'm going to be making batches for years to come :)
This chocolate pudding rocks. It's so yummy. Thick, rich, smooth and velvety, very flavorful and decadent. It was so quick and easy to make, who needs a box...not me, my dh will get homemade pudding from now on. He is one happy man. Thanks for sharing my new go to pudding recipe. Made for Fall Pac/12....wouldn't change a thing.
