Very decadent, rich and delicious. I often make this for entertaining at Christmas. Nice with a little dollop of whipped cream.
- In a large bowl, stir eggs, corn syrup, chocolate, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended.
- Stir in pecans.
- Pour into pastry shell.
- Bake at 350°F for 50 - 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between the edge and centre comes out clean.
- Cool on wire rack.
Delicious and very rich tasting! I've never tried chocolate pecan pie before and it's very, very good. Mine was slightly browner than I'd prefer it, because I set my timer for 45 minutes and it was almost overdone at that point. My oven tends to run a bit on the hot side, so it may just be that. Next time, I'll check at 40 minutes. Thanks for posting.
