Chocolate Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies

What is not to like? This recipe hits all basic food groups--chocolate, butterscotch and oatmeal.

  • 1 (18 ounce) box devil's food cake mix
  • 1 12 cups oatmeal, uncooked
  • 34 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 14 cups miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl combine all ingredients except semi sweet morsels and butterscotch chips and mix well.
  3. Stir in semi sweet morsels and butterscotch chips.
  4. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cooking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Cool for 5 minutes on cookie sheets.
  7. Remove to wire rack.
  8. Store in airtight container, if they last long enough to store.

Wow, there are awesome! I don't even know what to say these were so good. My husband took there up to work and they didn't last long. I will definately be making these again!!
