Chocolate Mousse - Low Carb

"This is really good. You might try making it with Splenda, if available in your area. Add a spoonful of Kahlua or orange zest for variety."

  1. This just didn't do it for me, and at just under 7 carbs per serving (as written), I'd rather find another way to use my carbs. For those using the Splenda blend, I hope you're not making this recipe looking for low carb. 1/2 c. Splenda blend adds 97 grams of carbs!

  2. This was unbelievably good and simple. I used 2/3 cup of Splenda sweetner "blend" in the big bag and it worked out great. I do like the taste of Equal better, so I'll try it with that next time (just a personal preference). But definitely satisfies the sweet tooth - topped with sugar-free whipped cream and blackberries/blueberries for an awesome dessert! Keeper recipe and thanks for posting!

  3. I love this low carb mousse when I am craving something sweet. If you like raspberries, add them. They only add about 2.3g of carbs for 10 raspberries and it gives this mousse the best flavor.

  4. Would most definitely make again! My 7 year old also loved it! Very light and airy. More pleasant than the usual mousse.

  5. This definitely is low carb. And it does taste decadent. Be careful, though, and read the nutrition info - over 90% FAT. Calories are calories, and if you're eating low carb for losing weight, this might not be for you. If, however, you're eating low carb for some other reason, enjoy!!
