These are wonderful and very easy to make! Had to fight off the family in order to save them for the gifts they were intended to be. Can see this is going to be a "Make 1 batch for family and 1 for gifts" kind of recipe in the future!! BTW, I did NOT do the peppermint kisses on top - they were delicious as "just" cookies. I'm now making a batch with dark chocolate chips in them by request to see how that works as an "alternate" recipe.

So Yummy!!! These were a big hit with friends and family. I may have overmixed the batter because they were quite sticky to roll into balls. My DD put Pam on her fingers to form the balls easier. Make sure not only the cookies but also the kisses cool completely in the fridge before taking them out, so be sure to plan for plenty of fridge time. Well worth the little effort these require!!! A fun addition to your holiday cookie platter!

Beautiful and very tasty cookies! I used the candycane kisses and they looked so Christmasy!

Presentation was pretty. Batter was very sticky, even after the time in the freezer, I like my regular chocolate crackle cookie batter as a base better (Chocolate Crackle Cookies). Don't go heavy on the mint extract, my first batch was like altoids and completely overpowered the chocolate flavor. I would have liked candycane kisses for presentation, but my HEB only carried the mint truffles which tasted good, but were a little less photogenic for the cookie trays.

Tried these for the First time yesterday at Panera. My boyfriend loved them so much he looked up the recipie on here and we bought the ingredients today. The mix is in the fridge and then we bake! I'll post after and hopefully it'll be a big hit! :)

It was a very pretty cookie for a holiday fundraiser. Everyone wanted to try them before the sale started. I didn't have space to cool the cookies to avoid the kiss melting, so I removed the wrapper and put them in the freezer. Most held their shape if left undisturbed until the cookie was completely cool. I'll definitely make them again.
