I made this cake on a Wednesday just to see if would like it. I had to make another one on the following Saturday for our Family reunion dinner. It was a smashing success. No changes made. Excellent flavor. The Kahlua really comes through the longer it sets. But it doesn't get to set very long around my house. Good job Jellyqueen.

I made this yesterday for my hubby's birthday and halfway through realized that we did not have Kahlua so I had to sub Bailey's irish creme and it came out wonderful! This is such a moist cake with great flavor. The Baileys was not overpowering at all and the kids really enjoyed it as well. I did add a glaze with 1 cup powdered sugar and 3-4tbs of baileys to drizzle over the top. Hubby really loved this birthday cake! Thanks!

Excellent flavor and easy to do. I used homemade kahlua(Dana's) and baked it in 6 mini bundt pans. 3 of them fell and 3 didn't, not sure why but they did. I love the flavor the kahlua adds.

What an easy recipe with fantastic result! Everybody loved it, the Kahlua really came through but was not overpowering. I baked it a rectangular dish and adjusted the cooking time, approx 10 minutes less then for a bundt pan.

YUM!! This was ssooooooo delicious, I can't wait to have an occasion to make it again! I definitely recommend upping the kahlua. I used 1/2 c oil and 3/4 c kahlua, and it was just right. And yes, the flavor really comes out after the cake cools. Thanks for posting!

I was a little concerned about how the cake would turn out because the batter was quite thick, but the cake turned out so moist and chocolatey and you can really taste the Kahlua. A fabulous cake that can be made from easily obtainable ingredients. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful and EASY cake!!!! Everyone loved this recipe! I only had vanilla pudding mix (the box said 5.1 ounces) so I closed my eyes and threw the whole thing in.... whew.... it worked! Even with the vanilla pudding the cake had nice chocolate flavor and the Kahlua was perfect! Did not overpower the senses at all!!! Audry you ROCK! Thanks for making me look like a million dollars in front of our guests last night!!!!

All in all, this was a really good, moist cake and I'm giving it 5 stars. But, I was somewhat disappointed that it tasted like regular chocolate cake. I made it exactly as directed, but we couldn't really taste the kahlua (storebought, not homeade). If I make it again, I might try adding more.

I made this for desert. I was hoping it would last more than a couple of nights, but I'm afraid that my sister has already eaten half of it. No one would believe the appetite on that girl if they saw her she's such a beanpole. This was so nice an chocolaty. I served it with some homemade vanilla ice cream. I made it for the Zaar World Tour 05
