- Preparation. Let sour cream stand at room temperature 1 hour.
- Microwave chocolate and butter in a 2-quart glass bowl at HIGH 1 1/2 minutes or until melted, stirring twice.
- Stir in sour cream. Yield 4 cups.
I made this tonight for a cake I had made, and unfortunately the frosting would not come together. Chips refused to melt properly after 2 attempts. The last attempt I added it with the sour cream and the frosting tasted ok just was not a ganache. The next time I think I may add less sour cream, and possibly use a different chocolate that melts easier.
