  • Combine ingredients in sauce pan until sugar is dissolved.
  • Cook at boiling point until soft ball will form in cold water.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add butter and salt.
  • Cool to lukewarm.
  • Beat until creamy.
  • Pour onto buttered platter.
  • Cut when cool.
