Chocolate Fruit Muffins

I wanted to make this into a cake, but I had second thoughts about that. I don't know why, because I am still sure it would work as a cake. It's just that muffins take less time to bake, and if you're running out of time, you'd want to bake something that takes less time in the oven.

Made a main dish, side dish, and a dessert for the contest, and this choice was an easy one, due to the fact it was something we have never tried. Very nice flavors, and texture in these muffins. They were easy to make also, made for a nice breakfast, for us the next morning. Good luck in the contest. Made for RSC18.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Grease a 12 cup muffin pan with butter or margerine.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry and wet ingredients together. Make sure the cake mix is properly incorporated into the batter, by scraping the bottom of the bowl.
  3. Add the fruit, and mix well. Fill the muffins cups 3/4 of the way through (filling the cups to the top will make for a messy spillover). Bake for 15-20 minutes.
