I don't like chocolate, but this is delicious. I found this recipe in Taste of Home Contest Winning Recipes Annual Recipes 2010. Thanks for posting! I dipped mine with pretzels...nothing like salty and sweet all at once.
Excellent! Think chocolate cheesecake. I added an additional tsp. of vanilla to help balance the cocoa flavor other reviewers mentioned. I also used the whole 8 oz. tub of Cool-Whip because I hate trying to measure it. The consistency was just right for dipping the strawberries I thought. Also very good with fresh pineapple. Because it tastes so much like chocolate cheesecake, my kids spread the leftovers on graham crackers for a quick dessert. This recipe is a keeper.
Thank you for this recipe!! When first made there was an overpowering taste of the cocoa. I made this dip the day before my party and was a little nervous, but after letting the dip chill for 24 hours I guess the flavors melded and there was no overpowering cocoa taste when I served it. Everyone loved it!!! This is a keeper!!
good, but too much cocoa. i had to use more whipped topping to calm down the choc. taste. Overall good though.
