This is a great no-bake cookie recipe. Very yummy and chocolaty! Hard to keep in the house. Sometimes I make them at Christmas and call them Reindeer droppings. Yield is approximate.
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 3 cups oats
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- In a microwave safe bowl mix, sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine. Microwave (or cook in sauce pan) until boiling.
- Add oats, coconut, chocolate chips and vanilla.
- Drop tbsp sized cookies on a waxed paper covered cookie sheet. Chill in fridge until firm.
I have been trying to get a copy of this for years. Very easy to make but I didn't have any chocolate chips on hand so I added an extra 1/2 tablespoon of cocoa. With or with out the chocolate chips there are great.
These are the best "no-bake cookies" I have ever tasted! Very easy to make :) I made these for "Photo Tag - Fall/Winter 2007".
