Chocolate Dream Bars

"These are my favorite bar cookies that can be altered to what you have in the pantry. The recipe calls for any type of dry cereal but I really must insist you use Grape Nut Flakes. I think they're the best. I usually use walnuts and chocolate chips."

  1. These sound exactly like my mom's peanut butter dream bars! We make these every year for Chirstmas! I use the grape nut flake cereal too, crushed. I also use 6oz. of peanut butter chips, and 6 oz. of semi-sweet chips. Oh, and no nuts. They can be very difficult to pry out of the pan, so I put parchment paper down and then just pull that out and cut them easier. These are excellent, sweet bars!
