    This one comes from my old handwritten recipe book which I have had since I was a teenager :) If you like the confectionery "Chocolate Coconut Roughs" then I hope you will like this. My slice tin size is 30cm long, 20cm wide and 2.5cm high.

      Cream butter and sugar.

      Add sifted flour, baking powder and cocoa.

      Add coconut.
    5. 5
      Mix well and spread into slice tin.
    6. 6
      Bake at 350'F/175'C for 25minutes.

      Remove from oven and while hot ice with the topping.

      Melt butter and add other ingredients.
    10. 10
      Add a little milk to mix if necessary.

      Stir over a low heat to dissolve and spread over hot base.

      Cut into bars before completely cold.

      The base went together ok, however the icing was terrible I suggest using a different icing recipe

      This was simply delicious! Not only was the finished product delicious, but even the plain dough was delicious! Only problem I had was that it didn't make a lot, but it was still fantastic! I recommend this recipe. Thanks for sharing Jen :)

      This slice was DELICIOUS!!! It was so quick and easy to make and we ate it as quick as I cooked it. I even had to make it a second time the next day.I hadn't heard to chocolate rough before but in Australia we have coconut rough and it is a favourite of mine. This one is definately a keeper. Thanks for a great recipe Jen. :)
