A chocolate and coconut lover's delight! An easy and quick candy to prepare for a holiday event or if you're just craving something good! Makes a good presentation on a Christmas treat tray.
- 1 (12 ounce) bag milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 2 cups Rice Krispies
- Melt chocolate morsels in microwave or in a large bowl over boiling water on stovetop.
- Stir in coconut and Rice Krispies. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper and allow to set up and harden. Yield depends on how large each candy piece is made.
These were a great addition to my Christmas cookies this year. Was looking for something fast and tasty and these definitely are that! I love the rice krispies in them.
Just made this for my Christmas cookie trays. My daughter in-law loves rice krispies and coconut, so she'll love these. Such a simple and easy cookie to make with such tasty results. These will fly off the plate I'm sure! Seasoned chef was even so kind to answer my question (the same day that I asked it) about whether or not these can be frozen. Her response was that they keep very well in an air-tight container for a couple of months.
