I used a round, glass pie plate to bake these as I knew it wouldn't fit in a 9X13" pan. I found the center didn't fully cook, so next time I'll add a little more flour, less choc chips and bake a little longer to be sure. But definitely yummy.
I love these squares! I couldn't find my Company's Coming cookbook - thank you for posting! :)
This was a huge hit at the bridal shower I took it to. None of it was left, and every bit of it was delicious.
These were good, but no idea how anyone gets 36 quares out of them :) I had to put mine in an 8x8 instead of a 9x9 because the mix wasn't enough to fit into the larger one... These came out great after 35 minutes. Thanks!
Awesome recipe. I think I accidentally baked mine at 375 or 400 but they still turned out great and even a little crispy on the edges which I love. Everyone I shared them with really liked them. For me there was just something missing. I can't pinpoint it but I think it was something in the texture. I wish I could be more specific. I'm sorry! But sooo good and I will definitely be making these again. So quick and easy. Thanks!!
I love this recipe, and am glad I found it since my copy of that cookbook is missing! My only suggestion is if you want to make them extra-special, add a thin layer of "Skor" chips to the top of it. It's a lovely caramel crunchy addition. Very sweet though....
My boyfriend and I call this 'Cookie Cake' and it is his favorite treat out of everything I have ever baked. They are so good! I made the recipe without the walnuts.
wow chocolate chip cookies the easy way! i got a job at an assisted living facility in florida and my new little piggies loved this recipe. i got a little corner to taste and it was delicious a true keeper
Thank goodness you posted this!! I was wanting to make some today but the cookbook is at my mom's. I make these for Bible studies all the time & never have a crumb left! Everyone raves about how tasty & moist they are. I was so hoping someone had posted this particular recipe. Off to the kitchen I go...
It was late, and I needed to whip up a quick snack for Sunday school. I picked this recipe! I doubled the ingredients, and spread the dough into an ungreased 9" x 13" baking pan. After they came out of the oven, I covered the pan with a tea towel, and cut the bars in the morning. Dorel, these squares were so tasty, and preparation was a breeze. Thanks!
