Recipe comes from my friend Janey with a few additions. Note cookies do not turn golden brown, but do taste delicious.

Wow, these are a total winner! I made them gluten free using buckwheat bran flakes instead of the wheat germ and gluten free all purpose flour, and they turned out fantastic. Baking time was 14 minutes, and as I usually make very small cookies, I got 60 of them. Also I reduced the sugar to 1/4 cup of white and 1/8 cup of brown sugar - personal preference, I always cut the sugar back in sweets. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
