  • Preheat oven to 375*F.
  • Whisk or sift the flour first
  • Combine all dry ingredients in one bowl & stir, except chocolate chips.
  • Soften butter & warm applesauce, ideally by letting them come to room temperature. If not put them in the microwave, do let butter melt!
  • Combine wet ingredients & stir.
  • Add 1/2 of the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir.
  • Add the other 1/2 of the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir.
  • Dough should be sticking to itself, not the dough and not be super runny. If very runny, add 1 tablespoon of flour. If its too dry and won't mix well, add 1/4 cup of applesauce.
  • Scoop up cookies and place on a metal cookie sheet.
  • Put cookies on the top rack of the oven.
  • Cook until golden brown perfection.
