  1. preheat oven to 180*c . grease a baking tray.
  2. seive flour , baking soda , salt and cocoa powder in a bowl.
  3. add butter and mix lightly.
  4. add sugar, walnuts, essence and half cup of chocolate chips mix well.
  5. add buttermilk and mix into a batter of thick but dropping consistency.
  6. drop by spoonfulls on a greased baking trya leaving space in between the cookies
  7. place the remaining chocolate chips over each cookie.
  8. bake for 20 minutes.
  9. cool on a wire rack atore in an airtight container.
